Be inspired - Fundraise your way for BEARS
Clare Hammond is one of BEARS London Marathon
2016 runners. As part of Clares fundraising she held
a Cupcake Decorating event. 52 children took part and
the day was great fun for all involved. Lots of BEARS
Information Leaflets and BEARS Balloons were handed
out on the day. The event raised a fantastic £152.00.
Much appreciation to APB Installations for their generous sponsorship of the high visibility markings on our Enhanced Care car, inclusive of signage, wording, badges and the yellow and red markings to enable the car to be visible.

Clare Hammond is pictured below with Rachel Ollington another BEARS London Marathon
2016 runner. Clare organised a curry night at the Tandori Parlour in Benfleet to raise funds
for BEARS. The event was attended by 150 people and raised £2316.00.
Clare's Husband David is also one of our TEAM BEARS runners and he will be holding a charity
football match to also raise funds for BEARS.
Amber Laking, was one of our Team BEARS Runners for the 2016 London Marathon. Sadly after doing relentless training and fundraising Amber unfortunately had to defer her place until the coming 2017 London Marathon. Amber hit her full Bond place target through a number of fundraising and public awareness activities/events.
Amber hosted a charity curry night - held in her local curry restaurant in Bishops Stortford in March this year, she sold tickets just to friends & family and achieved 38 people in attendance. A raffle was also held during the evening, Amber said...
"This was my main selling point, as I had some amazing raffle prizes all donated from local businesses, shops, hotels, restaurants and friends alike (over 45 prizes) - I sold the tickets before and during the evening (selling 500 tickets!)" During the evening, the attendees played the heads and tails game and there were gift wrapped bottles of wine each of the tables - each person on the tables were then asked to put £1 into an envelope with their name on it and then a name was pulled out of each envelope during the evening, therefore someone on each table won a bottle!Ambers fundraising activities also included a coffee morning - with local school mums and she made cakes and asked them to just put a donation into pot! (raised £70). A "Trainer day" at her childrens' school - where the children could go to school in their trainers and in return make a donation (raised £290).
""Amber you are an amazing fundraiser and have worked so hard, BEARS are so grateful for your efforts... See you at the 2017 London Marathon".
