The vehicle will regularly be seen in action carrying a doctor and a critical care paramedic. It was fully operational for the first time on the same evening that it was launched. The vehicle will carry state of the art equipment for monitoring and treating seriously ill patients including a mechanical chest compression device for patients in cardiac arrest and other advanced resuscitation equipment. It will also carry special splints for broken bones and a wider range of drugs including more powerful pain-killing drugs than regular ambulance crews can provide. The vehicle and its personnel, all volunteers, will regularly be available at night, when not all air ambulances can fly.

   Virgin London Marathon 2016

On Sunday 24th April 2016 - Team BEARS runners took to the streets of London to run the Virgin London Marathon raising much needed funds for us. All 25 runners worked so hard training for the event alongside their fundraising activities. Without supporters such as these, we could not do what we do in helping those critically injured or ill in Essex!

   Waltham Abbey Town Show 2019

On the warm and sunny weekend of June 29th & 30th 2019, Team BEARS took to the Waltham Abbey town show to raise awareness for our cause. During which, the Mayor visited and suggested that we enter into their competition for Charity of the Year 2020! Thank you to Dr Rob Davies, Dr Ian Gibson, John Horton and Christine Winzar for their ongoing support and organisation of the event.

   Crouch Valley Food Festival 2019

BEARS most recent fundraising activities were at Crouch Valley Food Festival on the 20th and 21st of July, where they hosted a raffle. Due to the charitable flour company, Carr's Flour Mills, we managed to raise £362 for our cause. The lucky raffle winner received a fantastic bread making kit, including a Panasonic bread-maker, tickets to a sourdough masterclass with Flour & Spoon, Artisan Bakery scales, bread bag, bread knife, apron and locally grown and milled bread flour! The same prize has also been donated for our Fundraising Gala Ball. A special thanks to Carr's Flour Mills, and Roman, the owner of the artisan bakery.
