Jamie Rickard

Jamie‚Äôs route to joining the ambulance service in 2008 was somewhat unusual in that it followed his completing his degree in music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Starting his career in the South East of Essex he quickly developed a keen desire to focus in the area of critical care, eventually gaining his registration in 2013. In July 2014, Jamie gained a place with South East Coast Ambulance Service on their established critical care paramedic pathway and, after completing the first year of his Masters at the University of Hertfordshire, he qualified as a Critical Care Paramedic, which remains his present role.Jamie lives in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex with his partner and young son. He still enjoys playing music and has recently retired as a volunteer crew member with the RNLI after six years of service.
