After 13 years in Local Government as an Environmental Health Officer Dr Philip Brown changed career path to read medicine at the Royal Free at the age of 33. Philip has always had a strong interest in pre-hospital care and has managed to maintain this interest alongside his main career as a GP and part time Emergency Physician.Philip has a portfolio career;Medical Advisor – Anglian Community Enterprise including their Minor Injuries Units.

Medical Director – BASICS Essex Accident Rescue Service (BEARS), formerly North East Essex Doctors Emergency Service

Senior Medical Advisor – East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust – V Festival.Philip has extensive experience in event and major Incident management both within the ambulance service and the health service. Philip was major Incident, emergency planning and pandemic flu clinical lead for North East Essex PCT before these functions were transferred to county level.Philip feels he is one of the last few true generalists in medicine and he strives to be the best in all the areas that he works in.
